This video is from the archive and it features one of my favourite trips to date, The West Highland Way from September 2007. Over a period of 5 days we walked, laughed, drank and drank some more while making our way from Milngavie to Fort William. We had lots of fun along the way and it truly was a trip to remember. DISCLAIMER… The footage was recorded on an old Canon A640 so it isn’t HD sadly, There is a wee bit of swearing at points throughout the video, also some terrible drunken singing, drunken air guitar and images of Mobile phones that aren’t smart or even 3G enabled… Welcome to 2007

West Highland Way – Traveling
This is a quick entry about the fun we had on the day traveling on the National Express coach from Chesterfield to Glasgow.
West Highland Way 2007 – Day 1 – Rowardennan
Day 1 was fun, we walked a good 21 miles and slept in the Youth Hostel at Rowardennan
West Highland Way 2007 – Day 2 – Inverarnan
On day 2 we walked in all weathers from Rowardennan via Inversnaid to Inverarnan. we also celebrated at the Drovers Inn were irresponsible amounts of ale was consumed :-).
West Highland Way 2007 – Day 3 – Tyndrum
Day 3 was relatively short, just a quick one from Inverarnan via Crianlarich to Tyndrum. Crianlarich is where our West Highland way dream ended during our 2006 trip.
West Highland Way 2007 – Day 4 – Day Off
Day 4 was our rest day, we hired a nice little chalet in Tyndrum and held back a day for weather reasons.
West Highland Way 2007 – Day 5 – Kingshouse
Day 5 was a spectacular day in many ways, We walked from Tyndrum via Bridge of Orchy, Over Rannoch Moor to Kingshouse. some nice pictures on this entry folks.
West Highland Way 2007 – Day 6 – Fort William
The final day, Day 6 was a monster, Lots of miles, Lots of rain but still lots of smiles. Have a look at the review and the pictures I managed to get before my camera was totally drenched and died temporarily.
I hope you enjoy reading about our trip, We had such a great time and laughed every step of the way. Completing the West Highland Way was a fantastic achievement for all of us. I hope our words and images might inspire you to have a go yourself. I’d do it again tomorrow personally
